Rachel Brazil looks at schemes to help refugee scientists in the past, present and future

The ongoing refugee crisis has affected millions of people, scientists among them. We look at the organisations trying to help, as well as some of those affected: a Syrian food scientist now in Belgium; a group of Ukrainian academics setting up a university in exile; a Bosnian who studied in Croatia, Italy and Germany and is now an assistant professor at MIT.
